Sounds like the weather I have. I have a farm so I'm out in it all the time. Some days on and off for 12hrs. Makes me loose weight lol

Supposed to get down in the 50s here a couple of nights this week. Not firestarting weather but a bit cooler than what August usually is around here for sure. I try to appreciate summer but I get tired of the humidity more than the heat, especially this time of year when it's been humid for 4 or 5 months. Today walking my dog I noticed that some leaves are starting to turn and the days are getting shorter. Fall is probably closer than we think!

Night time lows for the rest of the week are forecast at 60 or below, for mid August, that just ain't right. I don't mind winter, but I'm not anxious for it to get here. I'm still 2 months away from burning anything and hopefully, 3 months from burning full time. I am kind of looking forward to some outside fires though. We've accumulated a lot of brush over the summer and the wife loves it when we have big fires in the pit. She'll be nagging me about it when it starts to get cool.

Yes, that was Tomahawk, where my folks live. That was a weird anomaly. We had a record cold June here.

Yup that sounds about like where I am here in Virginia. Fires usually start in October, full time fires late October or November. Not anxious or eager for winter either, but would like a break in the humidity and fewer bugs here if I could manage it.

Probably at least 2 more months here, plus I have to move a bunch of stuff away from, and off of, the stove. It kind of becomes an extra counter top in the summer.

As for "steady" burning, no doubt. But the occasional chilly evening, we'll fire off the NZ3000. Just for asthetics.....lol

if done properly many boxes can be stacked on a treadmill with ample hanging space still available

Had the windows open in the house last night, it's down to 60 degrees. It fells good, kind of ready for fall.

It was 53º when I got up earlier. Warming up already though. Sun is out strong already and going to be warm today. Looks like a nice weather day. High of 78, and no rain.

Not anxious at all but half way ready. The older I get the less enthusiastic I get about burning season.
41 here last nite and have been spending the cooler evenings stacking. Wood room filled to ceiling with 1.5 cords and now working on shed which is almost full. Heaphausen out back is half gone from last winter . Will replenish that in the next 2 weeks and top cover.

Over night was cool enough to open up but it has already climbed to 91 with a predicted high today of only 84.

Today has been pretty awesome here - high 70s with a gentle breeze and low humidity. I actually got a little chilly in the shade. Makes me think of fall. Cleaned the area around the stove and stacked newspapers and matches. Got all the junk off the stove too and replaced a couple of broken firebricks. Now that I've done all that I see it's supposed to get back in the 90s here pretty soon!
