I actually have three.....listed in order of regret from greatest. 1) Really nice 288XP High Top. 2) Nice clean 2100CD. 3) Fairly clean and solid Homelite 750.
This is the only saw I've ever sold. PoulanPro 475,bought new April 1994at local saw shop for my first serious milling saw, sold it to buyer in Sonneborg,Germany Nov. 2011.I kept the 36" .063 gauge bar, same mount as my big Husky's. 4.7 cubic inch/77cc,12K RPM with arm breaking compression.Same saw as Jonsered 2077 Turbo made in Partille,Sweden just different color. Seen a few for sale since then, they are quite scarce anymore.Hope to get another one someday. But did grab a nice 2077 last winter to sooth my soul & satisfy my CAD until then.....
I sold my 391 yesterday, no regrets though it was a good saw but i want a 362 instead and with the bad weather the last few days i thought someone would grab it , and it sold in a couple hours then posted a 170 and sold that in about 10 minutes, so if anyone wants to sell a saw the day after bad storms is the time.
Had to trade in a great MS260 to get the wife an MS251CBE with the easy start. She has a tough time starting a standard pull saw.
I've had a lot of seller's remorse that eventually faded, but there are two saws that I never really got over selling. First is an 090G I sold to a guy in Australia. I had no plans of selling the saw, but he was looking for a complete & undamaged G for the purpose of complete restoration. I figured that was a better fate than sitting in my garage, so I sent it to the opposite hemisphere. Ended up being a good thing though; he meticulously restored it and we managed to forge a friendship along the way. Second was an excellent condition 064 that was a one-owner, all original saw that had never tinkered with. I got it purely for the purpose of flipping, but have regretted not keeping it ever since.
Didnt know you were selling that one. Oh well I still got the other test one from those builds. Wild Thing with afm 066 piston.
If I had to pick one saw I regret selling. It would be my WV racer Brent Combs woods ported 066. Stock piston and nothing fancy just good ole work saw. Heck it was so nice even a porter for hire in Ohio wanted the numbers out of it. Now everyone gets something close to it when they get their 066 660 ported. It would run a 16" to 32" (no need for longer here) like nothing. This video it was set pretty fat for work. But wanted to test how she pulled with each bigger gear. Started with 8 in video.
Did you post this in the wrong thread, or are you figuring you'll rebuild them, sell them, and then regret letting them go???
Husky 285 and a mint 288xp Hi Top!! I had to sell for divorce still kickin my self in the azz!!The saws were worth more than that beotch!! But life goes on!!
