My Grandmas brother

    30 miles west of Albany Ny
    Since I was young I have had an obsession with anything WWII related. Recently I learned that my Grandmother's brother died in the war. I found this today.

    He's buried in a cemetery about 6 miles from where I live, I'll go there and try to find his grave.

    m thinking the DOD has a "graves registry" that goes back at least to the Spanish American war used to be you had to send a request as it was all on "fishe" but now im thinking its been digitized so its searchable. do not know the link off top of my head but if you search the DOD website you can find it

    My great Uncle was the first local casualty of WWI and had the legion post named in his memory. Another local man was on the USS Arizona and had his name added to the post also.
