So I'm a bit lazy....when it comes to starting new threads and posting pictures. Truth is, I ain't so good at it, me postin pics -------->>>> :headbang:

Neighbor had 2 ash trees down, used his roll back to winch these up and bring 'em over to my place, he lives right next to me, but ya gotta go down in to get to where these puppies were....

The first two are punky, I brought 'em over anyway, maybe there's a little good stuff in there.
Next two are solid and good to go, the dark picture is some other stuff I've been working on, and the last one is all sorts of stuff, tops from the ash there, plus some other walnut, cherry, elm, and who knows what else is in there.

Gonna have to split it all some time soon I hope.

Sounds like a winner......I was working again at some splitting but now that we are finally getting some summer we'll just leave the splitter in the shed.

The punky ones will be good for a fire pit.

    Good job!

Indeed. Been burning up my punky maple this year.. Those are some nice looking logs too. I love being able to cut my own up instead of picking up rounds.

Wow ansehnlich1 ... that's an impressive hoard right there. Way to go...

BTW... top photo, back stack, 17 splits in and 5 down... you could rotate that split 90 degrees... ;)

I did a little buckin' and splittin' Saturday, way too hot for them shenanigans.
took two days to figure out how to post these pics....

Y'all have been great with your comments, etc. I'll try and straighten the stacks a bit when I get time:thumbs:

That's around 36 feet of premium ash right there!

Took this pic on Saturday too, all stacks are shown here, left to right, except there's some behind that long stack in the middle. That long stack in the middle there meets the Jotul this winter.

Thanks HD, I nickle and dime it, stay at it throughout the year, and the dang wood just keeps coming. Always somehow, somebody gets ahold of me, and I wind up hauling in more. I probably have 3 cord or more laying around here to split and stack, and who knows, maybe 15+ cord stacked and ready. I don't even go lookin for wood anymore, it seems to find it's way to me!

I live in PA, and have neighbors, and other folks, that know I burn, and somebody seems to always have a tree down, or wood to to get rid of, or power company just came through and trimmed trees.

My wife and I built this home in 2007 and we have yet to burn a half a tank of fuel oil......
