I had a 99 Olds that had the GM ignition switch problem years before they admitted it was a problem. I replaced the part myself. It succomed to road salt and 240,000+ miles well before the ignition switch problem hit the news. I got a recall notice in the mail a while back for my 05 Silverado. Something about rear brake parts that it may have had at some point in its life. I've gotten no less than four recall notices for my 2013 Cruze. I think it's a fact of life in these days. Makes me want my 85 S-10 back. Power nothing on that truck and it never left me stranded. Even when the head gasket blew it still had enough left to get me home. A buddy of mine has a 2012 Ram 2500. I'll have to check with him and see what he hears.
Yeah, I've driven a few. I don't care for the Taco's manual transmission, V6 engine, or the way the truck handles.
Keep in mind it will be an all new Tacoma for 2016. New v6, and while the chair is essentially the same, there so much new on it that you can't consider it the same as the current one, which is very good, and sales and other tangibles back that up.
