Yeah I was under the assumption that glue and steri-strips would be used. One of my nurse's explained that my surgeon preferred to use staples on guys my age because they hold better then glue and steri-strips. I can't wait till Friday when the staples come out!

Well two weeks post op today, and still having pain issues in my left leg (same leg as before surgery). My surgeon says it's normal residual pain from surgery, and just takes time to get over it. He has been switching up my pain mess to try and control it. I am better then I was two weeks ago, but siting, and standing really set of my sciatica off, to the point that I have to lay down to get any relief. I hope things start to improve again, if not might have to have another surgery.:headbang:

Two weeks is a short time after surgery your body takes time to heal , probably will get better :)
After knee surgery it took me 10 months to get back to 100 percent

Just wondering are they going to set you up with some physical therapy?

I fully understand it will take time, the thing that really got to me, and scared me was that I felt so good after surgery up to the one week mark, the down hill ever since. Yesterday was the first time the pain got so bad while driving that I had to pull over multiple times, once to lay in the bed of my truck!

1out of 5 people that have this surgery need to have second surgery, that's what has me nervous at the moment. I know the odds are in my favor for this to have worked on the first try... just those darn "what if's" floating around in my brain.

I get that, I totally understand your fears.
After about a week my leg was swelling bad and went to the ER over it.
Physical therapy hurts like a biatch but it will do wonders

well I got my fingers crossed for you man, that you don't have to have a second surgery, but what I found with my knee surgery was it got worse before it got better
