This was on Denver news tonight. Followed by several photoshopped pics of a giant male lion in town. The big mountain lions in Colorado are not as beefy as the orig pic.

Then again the trees are much smaller than out east too. This has to be a "pet" lioness that got loose. Maybe the owner too afraid to come forward.

The fuzzy pic -build looks more like african lion, not our native big cat. DNR for years denied exsistance of big cats in WI, until they were proven wrong by game cams and such. Extremely unusual area for a native cat to be patrolling as they are very secretive normally and generally shy away from urban areas. But anything is possible.

You can take lion out of the city...but you can't take the city out of the lion? :)

Not enough scale reference points in the one fuzzy picture to know what it is. In my opinion it does not look as big as an African lion but it looks well fed. Anybody missing their pets?

Same thing in MI. For many, many years they denied cats here but now they've verified many of them in both peninsulas.

Actually yes, on the news tonight, there was an eviscerated kitty cat carcass, detached head and all, and a neighbor close to the video sighting said there are several feral cats that have gone missing.

More reported and confirmed sightings- closed off a whole park on NW side of town several miles SE of my shop. No luck so far. Thinking maybe I should bring one of the Loudenbooming big flash pointers with me.

There's reports of a cub too with her. Other reports say this was no wild critter, but an escaped/ released exotic pet.

The reason this is such a big deal is that this is the urban part of Milwaukee, the concrete jungle. It has happened outside of the mush party of Milwaukee in rural areas, but this is in the urban area.

North mideast side, not suburbs, primary home of activities that give the LEO 's something to do besides traffic stops. ( hows that for skirting the exact description in a politically correct sense and not stigmatizing any area.)

So, there was a reported, but not confirmed sighting in Grafton, on my side of the area too. Since the lake is right here, there's one less direction it can go.

Lights on and locked and loaded for taking dogs outside now....
