Internet Explorer crashes.

I'm patiently waiting for Windows 10 and Edge. My updated IE crashes every day. I run Google Chrome most of the time and don't recall issues with that. I can't understand why in Bing that it just shuts down. My computer is fairly new, lots of Ram and memory storage. I have office 13, I also frequently clean my computer of any hitchhikers. Should be a couple weeks for the release. Once converted to windows 13, update are automatic and you can't opt out. Following the news on this new systems make it seem like a much improved system with many fixes of the 8.1

I don't think that the Griz is a fan of IE.

Not a fan of MS products, mostly due to the allure for hackers to find ways to mess with them, although Win 7 (using right now) has been very trouble free for the most part.
I haven't used IE since the VERY early days of Firefox, which is what I still use.
I may hold out on Win 10. I prefer to have more control over what I accept and what I don't.
Maybe I'll put it on an old drive, then mess with it. I can always get rid of it and do over.
Just DLd the latest Linux Mint and I'll give that a whirl for a while.
I don't have a fix for IE.

Oh no, Smoky won't have ANY thing to do with Windows. I mean NOTHING. He runs on an operating system that has a lot in common with Android. He models his system like business do.

 

your eyes are playing tricks with you. Go back and you will read Office 13, not windows. I do use chrome most of the time because of the flow with the calendar. Plus, as I mentioned, it doesn't crash.

 

Nor microsoft.

 

yeha, Chrome is a better browser for security reasons anyway. The problem with IE is that there's really no good way to 'reinstall' it because it's embedded in to the OS

 

Ok I got that! I didn't know IE was embedded into the OS, but that doesn't surprise me being that Window is a Microsoft product. I will upgrade, but I know the usual play. If I stick to Chrome when paying bills or ordering, I have a better chance of not being hacked.

Install Firefox. Use.
Backup plan. Install Chrome. Use.
If tempted to use IE, go take a nap.

 

But if you like FHC bug free, use Chrome before Firefox.

 

Is Chrome less of a resource hog than FF?

 

They both are, but 9 out of every 10 reported problems are FF only problems.
