    Arrived up here Sunday late afternoon and it has been great! We're staying in St Ignace right on Lake Huron. I'm in a chair with my feet in the lake as I type..lol.. 1437434989228.jpg

    Good for you! Enjoy it. I would kill to be on the upper Great Lakes right now instead of steaming it up here in Central PA.

    Those big lakes are a bit chilly, but they are definitely refreshing.

    There's nothing better than chillin' our in or on a lake with an adult beverage of your choice.

    We went all the way up to Lake Superior today and it was amazing how much firewood I saw..lol.. You could literally buy logs from the local hardware store. Heading west on 2 tomorrow to manistique which is a road I used to know well. Can't wait!

    It's cold..lol.. Air Temps have been in the mid 70's with no humidity and a lot of sun though. Supposed to stay that way too. We looked at the weather back in Greencastle and it was like 93 with a heat index of 103 mike bayerl..lol..

    Rory McIlroy, the pro golfer from the UK, said of lake Michigan, and the rest of the great lakes that over in Europe they would be called seas, not lakes even if they are great lakes. Rory was speaking about Whistling Straights golf course on lake Michigan in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

    The trucking company I worked for from 01 through 03 had a terminal in Iron Mountain that I used to be at a lot. Used to do a lot on the western side of the UP with them. Picked up in Gwinn and Lanse quite often or just loaded trailers in the IM yard back to NYC or Connecticut. Haven't been up here since 03 and am really enjoying it. Can't wait to drive across 2 tomorrow.

    Mom from Gaastra (near Iron River and Stambaugh)
    Dad from a farm outside of Menominee.
    Met in college at Northern, got married and emigrated south of the bridge shortly thereafter. All of us kids grew up in A2.
    Going to Menominee for a huge family reunion next month.
