Since we probably watch the same channels, yes... I noticed on WCSH6 this morning that they had two weather people on at the same time. Listened to one guy give the forecast and then immediately another chick started saying the same thing again WTF Thank goodness for weatherbug.
I have to say that a little panic is good. Especially if it keep people off the road that really have no real need to go out and add to the problem. I don't know anyone who really doesn't know what a snow storm is, and I don't know anyone who hasn't gone off the road or been stuck somewhere. There was a time I could get out and dig, now I just stay in until it is all clear. As for the predictions on tv, they try, they don't say the same thing on every station so you know it is a guessing game. Makes for good discussions. Lots better than some of that other chit they rant on and on about.
As far as weather goes, I usually keep a eye on weather.com, they seem to do the best job out of them all in my honest opinion.
