A little evening split session

    Worked on some big red oak rounds.....hangin' around 70º so was nice splitting weather. Pile to the left is what I have done in my few sessions lately.

    Sweet man! I tried to split last night but even walking on the ground last night I was sinking and it was oozing water so it was a no go for me.

    Got it stacked tonight after the mowing, now I can get back to more splitting when the weather cooporates. Had a friend ask me if I wanted a few trees before he gave them to some Amish guys that put a roof on his house. Ash and cherry, but I need to have a good look as I only had a chance to glance tonight......electric wire might be too close for me to feel good about taking them down.
