This is a nice clean low hour 268xp that I just finished going through. It came to me as a project saw with the brake, recoil, and muffler missing, so it does have some new aftermarket parts.

The cylinder is the original Mahle 50ZN closed port version in great condition. Piston is also original but I put in a new Caber ring while I had it apart. New fuel line, filter, carb kit, gaskets, drum, rim, fire screen, etc. Runs excellent- has had 1/2 tank of 40:1 Trufuel through it for test/tune. A few scratches that you can see in the pics, but overall very nice shape.

$280.00 plus freight from Oregon. Please start a conversation if you have questions or need more info.

Should be slightly stronger than a 266SE of similar condition. The 268XP has the larger carb, intake block, and intake passage in the cylinder that was later used on the 272XP. Those improvements were first applied to the 268XP. Transfer ports may be a scosh larger too IIRC.

This will be my 2nd one. I bought one new in 1991 and it still runs great. These make one of the best firewood saws out there.

Cut a few dead walnut trees for a buddy with it last night. Great running saw. It will be ported by the weekend. I just can't help my self. Thanks Stack.
