    Yum, cherry. Good with chocolate. Cherry in the stove makin' BTU's and me in the easy chair with chocolate. Heheh.

    Wow those would make me think about adding a mill to the arsenal.

    firewood , they are 14- 16 in diam. and it would be nice to mill them ( have a friend with a band mill ) but time and where to store the boards is a problem while drying.

    I had the same situation with cherry logs about 4 years ago. The logs were so straight, it was a shame to cut them up for firewood.

    It's never a shame to cut logs for firewood. I agree that some logs would make great looking lumber, but don't ever feel bad about turning trees into heat, no matter how pretty they might be.
