Driving to work and

Right now I am working on a 6 month residency in Hartford, CT. It's 98 miles one way, and I go up there three days a week. Last week I was on vacation. Sometime after I started vacation, the CT DOT started dropping trees where rte 2 and rte 95 cross. Now I drive a VW Jetta TDI, and wish I would have stuffed some wood in on the way, but it was not happening. In fact, you are not suppose to take it across the state line. If not for that, you could have yourself all of the downed oaks you could want. Just makes me want to cry.

I couldn't live without my TDI. Last two tanks have been 45.6 and 44.5mpg, and that is with the winter tires. Next two mileage checks and I'll be getting a new set of summer treads.
