I tried to share my beer with him but he didn't want any.
Good thing the cat didn't see him, that would have been bad for the screen

Can't figure why your visitor didn't want a refreshment; some of them enjoy the suds....

If he'd gone through that screen he would have strained himself :D

I was pulling into work one night, and I couldn't figure out WTH was on my windshield. Little guy was halfway up my windshield, hanging on for dear life. Musta been hanging on to the wipers for the 30 miles on the highway, then started working his way up when I got to the surface streets.

I used to have a pic, but it's long gone on a busted phone.

Screen doors are great objects for collecting all sorts of critters. Had this one on my door once. Posed one of my daughters "my scene dolls" (Noli) next to it. We called it "Noli versus the Mantis Queen".

    Drove thru Rose City today.

I haven't seen Bad Frog in years. I think it's still around, but maybe because it's a style I just don't drink that I don't see it? Not distributed locally? Don't know. Prolly be right in front of me the next time I'm perusing the beer cooler.

Looks like a Chinese praying mantis. Neat critters, but not native. I've seen them where I used to work too, presumably coming in on freight shipments from china.

Aye grasshopper .............. that could be. I bought about a dozen mantis egg cases from a seed company about 20 years ago and put them around my place. I see them often around here.

Ever read about the life cycle of the mantis? After they mate, the female bites the head of the male and eats him. That's just all messed up.

That reminded me, I was watching TV in the living room Sunday evening with my wife and I saw what looked like either a small mouse or large spider crawl across the carpet. I jumped up to stomp it, but it turned out to be a tree frog! The little guy must have come in with the dogs somehow.
