Starting out at being a hot humid day here. My son and the hired hand are here working on the shed roof that's going on the side of the garage. They dug the holes yesterday and put some tubes in. Today they run the cement. I think today will be a short day for them. I'll post some pictures soon.

the remodeling is coming along really well. Daughter in law wants to get started putting some paint on the walls. Still need doors and trim. Plus the bath room needs a lot of work. Like hooking up the toilet etc. Tile went down yesterday in the bedroom and pantry. Bathroom is what is left. Then the baseboard heat, put the stove back in and the stone tile. so still a lot to do. He wanted the shed roof put on so he can put some of his equipment under cover.

Sounds good Larry. Isn't it amazing to tally up all of the little things that had to happen before the final stuff can? Your son sure has been a busy guy.

Well, it may not seem the time to be thinking of this, but I picked up a used (2 yr. old) snowblower off Craig's list today. From the looks of the auger & interior surfaces, the owner was telling the truth about it not having much use. He had a business and that's where he used it.....he sold his business & home & is heading south.

I got it for $250 with a full tank of gas, a new box of shear pins, oil was just changed in the spring, & the manual. Starts on 1 pull, but has electric for the winter, 12" impeller, 2 reverse/6 forward speeds.

2 of my next door neighbors just bought the same unit last winter and it did a nice job with all the snow we got. Was $575 new then, lists for $599 now at Lowes. Top rated by Consumers

Darn good buy right there. At 250, you can't do better. I'm just hoping you don't have to use it for a while.

Very nice pete! You stole it!!

Boy and I had an adventure today. Knew it was gonna be hot, So we got to the lake early. Started out OK. Boat started right up per usual. Hit the first hole and caught a couple. As it warmed the bite slowed so we hit the main lake. Again motor cranked right over and off we went. Got to the main spot and its was in bright sun. Not much fish on the graph. So we wanted to go up to another spot that had deeper water. Errr wait a minute!

The mo she no go????? :hair:

I was able to crank it and it fired with the emergency pull rope. But not on its own. Battery is fine full of juice. Just won't fire off the key??? Gave up seeing no tools on the boat. So we packed it in early(2.30). Headed for shore once I cranked it with the emergency pull rope. Left it idling while I went for the trailer. Headed for home!! We normally don't leave until 7:00 or so!

Spent a few minutes checking the ignition switch once we got home. Works fine. It looks to be a loose connection or broken wire some where in the main harness. O'boy sounds like fun!! Yet another thing we need to tackle. Gonna go fetch a repair manual(with wiring diagram) tomorrow and see whats up. I pulled the cover but got scared at all the do hickies and thing a ma bobs staring back at me.

    :wacky:

    Its beer time!
