First time I've ever heard of it. Police have been to my house a couple of times - mistakenly responding to next door neighbor's domestic dispute. Their house is a few hundred yards further up the main road sits back up on a hill and is blue-grey colored just like mine. savemoney the Chihuahuas raise hell when someone pulls up - good alert dogs, that's what they were bred for. Get the big dogs riled up
Doesn't it seem like a harsh and jumping to conclusiuons response in the first sense? Sure is quite the response to an anonymous call for help?
Cops don't have much else to go on from the sounds of the call - hostage situation and active shooter, you're going to walk up and knock on the door and see if everything is OK? People inside in this situation were distracted by TV noise - could happen to anyone Should LEO roll up in your 1/4mile drive what are they going to do? give up the element of surprise
I guess to err on the side of caution is the best....but is it normal to put everyone in cuffs right off the get go? Makes you wonder just how they would re-act to a bank robbery call????? Suppose caller ID is a technology they haven't heard of yet?
