    Relatives from Montana visiting.
SIL was cold , had to light a fire. In July. Tonight.
Better than watching the 16yr.old nephew duct-tape his little brother into a mummy. It actually was pretty amusing. Not kidding.
    We'll cut him free later.

Duct tape, sticky side out, wrapped a few times around your hand. It'll pull up a lot of dry dog hair. When it's full, slide it off your hand and repeat.

I always just pull the stuffing out. Put the cover in the wash machine for the two cycles and then hang it out to dry....

Yup. More rain. Some stuff in my garden is starting to rot from all the moisture.

A quick pic of one of my local tree dumps while I wait since the loader operator seems to have slept in! All those wasted btus!

It's 15ft tall and takes up about 5 acres.

Just dropped the Jeep off at our local shop... turn signals have sorta died. I was hoping it was just a bulb... turns out the 4 way switch may need replacing as nothing now works except the right turn signal, once in a while... :picard:15 years old so...

Hehehe... I'm lucky... our mechanic is a Jeep fan and lets an awful lot of his time go for nothing. Especially on electrical trouble shooting...

Well we had 2 days without rain and a thunderstorm and 2 more days so I went to help a Friend hay. she used to ride horses competitively and got into a couple car accidents so she cannot ride anymore. So she has turned her mini farm into a retirement home for abused animal horses goat sheep chickens and an educational facility for 4-H and other worthy causes. Of course her and her husband do this on a shoestring budget..

But the short of it is she square bales about 35 pound bales, any bigger she can't lift them bad back from accidents. Of course we do this the hard way no kicker so every bale gets baled moved into rows, put on truck and trailer, then unloaded and stacked into a staging area for escalator ride up to be unloaded and restacked in barn. and with hay you got to wait til it's dry! then bale so you start at 2 in afternoon and go until done. which was about 2am. and at sundown it need to be off grass on dirt so it doesn't draw moisture. Seems a lot like firewood:zip:

But it's her dream so after lifting 1200 bales 4 times or more I do not need a workout for a few days. Soon I am moving slow today..

of course the 35 year old baler, broke twice so it was requiring some redneck re-engineering on the fly. that's the fun stressful part how fast and with what can you patch this thing together. life is good!

Its free to dump trees here. They grind it, dye it, and sell it right back to me. Their motto is "we don't waste your waste".

This mess is a few miles up the road from here. This picture was from the local emergency alert FB page. No serious injuries.

Day off. Up at 5:15 and drove to Syracuse for an 8am appointment to have wife's air bag inflator replaced. One of those recalls. Done in an hour and back home by 11am. Did the bills and then split a little more wood this afternoon. I tired. But had to eat dinner and off to son's soccer game. Ahhhhh. Nothing likes a relaxing day off.
