Picked up my new wood hauler today

12 foot 14k gross weight with a scissor hoist. I hate cleaning firewood bark and trash from the bed of the pickup.

Yes, it does tilt up. I'll never have that much weight in it but it's just a matter of time before one of my a-hole friends borrows it and overloads it so I opted for 14k. I'm actually trying to think of a way to make it tougher to borrow. Anyone make a real strange size hitch ball?

 

Or, you can just say "NO", I know the hitch idea is easier, but they will then borrow the truck too!
Anyway, that is a tough unit. Should last you for as long as you want it.

 

Pintle hitch...and maybe a strange wiring plug.

 

I like the strange plug idea! It's hard to say no to good friends. Some friends treat everything really well, others turn everything they touch into piles of crap though.

 

I just bought a similar trailer this past winter, mine is only 6x10 (deckover) and 7500# though, still handier than a shirt pocket! I haven't had anybody ask to borrow yet, gonna hafta learn to say n-n-nooo.
Looks like you have the top/side swing tailgate option?

It was a little over 6 with the spare tire.
