Got a load of white oak today

    Went over to the horse farm we've been cutting at and picked up a couple of the white oaks we dropped last week. Got home and bucked it while it was still on the forks over the pile. It's alot nicer cutting at waist height. KIMG0243-1.jpg KIMG0244.JPG

    Yea the weather has been decent the last few days. Low to mid 80's with average humidity. The sun is freakin hot though! I got a little burnt while bucking up those logs

    White oak is " Primo " firewood.
    Great smell when cutting it up, great BUTs.
    Splits a little tough but the fresh wood odor makes it enjoyable :)
    Burns clean & long !

    We have alot of white oak around here. Still quite a few at the farm to take down along with some red oak, chestnut oak and cherry
