A more eco-friendly approach is to still have the buckets but use a net to clean the little larvae out of the buckets and feed them to your tropical fish. They go crazy for fresh mosquito larvae.

I have a love hate relationship with bats, love that they eat the pesky little bugs.... but a hate dealing with bats. We had a huge barn next to the house when we moved in, but it was in such bad shape I had to tear it down. Well all the bats needed a new home, and thought ours looked inviting I guess...

With a new born in the house at the time and a few nights my lovely wife couldn't take it spending the night at her folks. I think the most I took out was 20 in a night.

Figured out my chimney guy didn't can the second flu on my chimney so I capt it with a bat trap out, and it worked like a charm, not a bat in the house since I got them all out.

But if I get trapped with one in the same room, I tend to freak! There like snakes, if they just stay where they should be, and eat what they should, we can all get along.

Saw the biggest skeeter ever, today. Landed on my ball cap. Two other guys also agreed, it was the biggest skeeter we had ever seen. Should have taken a picture but I didn't think about it. Thinkin' maybe it was some type of nuclear hybrid, or something.

There are "Mosquito Hawks" that are huge mosquito lookin things... I've always heard they're mosquito killers... Might be an old wives tale.

Same stuff I spray the dogs with is what I use. Couple of spritzes of the stuff works well. Keeps flys and ticks off too which is why I use it to begin with. Probably wind up twitching and drooling curled up in a ball on the floor from it, but in the meantime it works and if I'm going to spray my animals with it, then I'll use it too.
