I'm awful at guessing, keeping track of how much there is. Just gets added to the pile and when I think I have enough I aim for 2x moar. (Pile is 25', average width of 20" and probably 2' average height)
Mostly white pine, some maple and spruce. Chain is always sharp, but the saw has been slightly tweaked. I'll get a pic of the saw in action tomorrow.
Chain looks brand new long shadow days My 359 has the green gas cap. I did change the muffler to non cat . Noticed a little better performance, plenty good for cutting 10 cords of birch/year (20" bar )
One of the nice things about cutting white pine is that most any saw will go through it fast. Still, that is a good pile for only 30 minutes work.
It's a green cap but the cat in the muffler has been bypassed. I got this saw as a box of parts. It had the plastic intake clamp and a melted piston as a result. While I had it apart I did some work on the transfers and polished the intake/exhaust and eliminated the base gasket. The first time I tried it I knew I would be selling my MS361. Even in the maple the saw holds the RPM's quite well. That's the first time I filled up and ran the saw to it was dry. Wanted to see how much I could get through on one tank. The logs were delivered by my tree guy and were 12' long.
That Forestor chain isn't bad stuff. The chin that came on my bar for my 036 threw some of the largest chips I ever seen from a stock chain. Nice looking load. For 30 min that's a fair amount of wood. Almost like that saw cuts fast or something.
Probably didn't waste much gas revving it up between rounds impressing the neighbors with RPMs either. That's part operator moving right along, too.
Got about a third split; probably last load this year -- another 12-14 inches of snow coming this weekend. Once there is 18" on the ground I quit. Hopefully we get January a thaw.
Don't mind the mule, load the wagon It's just a yard trailer that I abuse regularly. Hasn't let me down yet. Some day I'm going to add sides so I can get some more wood on there.
I would have to have sides to haul anything. Any bump or tilt etc. and everything would be on the ground again. Never fails. Only place anywhere near level is my driveway. Everything else is tilted one way or other.
