Aaand, much more if you'd gotten it at a restaurant.
One of those "enjoy it while you can" moments.

We'll do an occasional roast, but not steak. Mostly chicken or turkey, and that's going up too.
We're raising chickens for the winter........

Dehydrating pineapples since the store had fresh ones for 99cents. Ate too much of them while coring and cutting them and my stomach is angry.

When you dehydrate them, do you leave them plain or syrup them first? Does the colour turn brown? How long can you store them after they have dried? Have you ever tried freezing or canning them?

This is a first for me using fresh with no syrup. Normally I'll use canned with syrup and it makes it almost like candied.

Can't comment on the color yet...just started.

I eat it so fast it doesn't have a chance to go bad so I'm not sure of storage time either.

Never tried freezer or canning it either.

Basically, I'm not much help haha. Sorry.

One cold beer tonight. Ohhhh, okay. Maybe two. Tomorrow is a day off and time to get some outside work done. Looks like the weather will cooperate.

No worries. I was just curious. I would like to get a dehydrator but right now I either can or freeze stuff. I do like dried pineapple though.

I did watermelon once out of curiosity. It was like candy. Took a while to dehydrate.

Think I'd have saved the bone to make soup with for that price. Just kidding sometimes you gotta splurge on a good meal.

Alright. Got some chit done today.
Went to the dump for my parents and our place. Then took back all the bottles and can returnables. Got back almost $30! That was 90% water and soda bottles.

Then I mowed a bunch of grass between the two places. Not all done yet, but 75% done. Then went to the gate area where I'm putting that fence up and used the Kubota to tear out a large old Ash stump so I could dig out around large rock that I wanted out of the way of the fence. Of course it turned out to weigh as much as a small car or smoke show 's beer stash! :wacky:But I was able to get it up and out of the ground by digging all the way around it, then digging a ramp down to it and pulling it up the ramp with the backhoe a little at a time.

Got everything all leveled back off after I got the rock where I wanted it and the next day I get to work on that area I am ready to put the post in for that section of fence. Now it's time to relax.

We loaded up the truck and went to the redemption center towards the end of the summer on the farm (in my later teens)
~$90 IIRC and 5-10% were soda cans:rofl:

Should taste good after a couple of cold beers and the work I did today.
