Well I finally broke down and bought a new saw. Not that I needed another one! I've never had a brand new saw, I figured it was time. I picked up a Husqvarna 576xp NON autotune. I got it with a 32" bar only because I wanted a 32" for my 288 to run on my mill. The 576 will wear a 20" mostly and occasionally a 24". image.jpg

Smooth... and that it is... Good lookin' saw there, I wonder how much difference there is between the autotune and nonAT...Performance wise...

I haven't ran either one. I haven't even fueled mine yet!! I'll let you know after today.

That other saw is actually my buddy's saw. I had to touch up the chain for him. He likes to put em in the dirt! But yes I think all my others will be taking the back burner for a while. I actually even may have a couple for sale.

You're gonna love that 576xp! Mine (2013) is beastly- but might get more so if I send it for porting! Unless I take JRSDWS's advice and just port the 266se..... No, wait, he said I would probably want all 3 of my saws ported before long! Bad influence! Dang it Dewey!

Nice saw. They're stronger than a 372 and not much heavier. There's not a great difference in the regular carb to autotune in all out power if you tune for temperature and stuff every time out.

Well I haven't had much time on the saw yet. Made a couple cookies. Hopefully this week I'll get more time. But my full wrap handle came in today! image.jpg

It's raining right now. I'll get a video of it later this week when it dries up.
