    Nice you had gravity to help roll them down hill.
    That good of firewood would be worth hauling it uphill, maybe :D

    Yea, work smarter not harder ;)

    Did some uphill loads a few years ago. All the easy stuff was taken from the cutting area.
    A pulley chained to a tree & a rope to the truck, skid it right up to the road .

    I would like to drag some wood up and have the neccesary equip to do so. But as you can see my little truck works hard enough already. I dont like the idea of what that tugging would do to my driveline. Got my eyes on a ford 7.3 liter dually with a 15' flatbed, with that monster i will be going to the choker/chain/pulley set up. Im sure its faster and will be 300% easier on my body

    That would be a serious addition to the firewood toolbox.
    2 days work +, for me, to get a full load LOL :)

    Right where I want to be.
    My big concern for you Stephen, is with a load that size, how the brakes would deal with a stop going downhill. Wouldn't want you going off a cliff.
    Is your cutting area close to home?
