The guy is asking $550. I had no idea what it was worth, I really don't need it but would sure like to have it! I love those old saws! 111 cc's WOW! now that's a SAW.

Outside of milling wide logs it's not going to be anywhere near the performance of a newer saw. Heavy minimal-no anti vibe, sounds fun on paper to run but you will run it very little if there is a better bucking saw in your arsenal - old cc's don't equal work performed by newer saws when you consider fatigue and chain speed
A fairly new member here in Bert might be thinking the biggest cc's is where he/she want's to be - go big or go home yah now. A good firewood saw is mid range to start 60cc, learn to handle it with no safety features and then get CAD
I paid 350 for mine and it doesn't look that good.i wouldn't sell it for that either. I don't use it often but when I need it it gets the job done.
Love my 60 cc range saws (038 super, ms 361 and ms 391) but my ms 460 is the favorite of all my saws and another 460 on it's way from Ohio--YEAH!! Been cutting firewood for 35 years. The one I started with years ago was a 032 av. --My big saws are for fun!
You want nostalgia get a cross cut saw Bert As far as value, a painted old saw is still just an old saw waiting to be scratched. If the saw has been gone through by a competent individual it's worth what that individual thinks it's worth, if that's a true Stihl bar and not a painted worn out one that's ~75-100 400 for the powerhead seems fair if it is tight, or put that money into a port job for one of the 460's
I don't see the point in spending that kind of $ to make my arms tired and my hands numb. Full disclosure I only own one saw...I don't have the saw itch as bad as most people here though.
