Found quite a few of these trees at my sis-in-law's place today, and am wondering what they are.
Pics aren't great......the phone cam didn't want to focus where I was looking.

Yup, too "simple" in branching & foliage for a devils's-walking-stick. BTW, no "c" in Shindaiwa.

That's what I thought it might be. I asked about a small tree very similar on my property a while back. Mine has flowers, but these don't, so I wasn't sure if they were the same.
I'll go take another look at the only one I've found here at my place. She has a bunch over there.
    Thanks Paul.

Yeah, that is Hawthorn. They should have some flowers and small fruits like crabapples, but maybe those trees aren't mature enough. Depending on which species of Hawthorn you have, they could get ten or fifteen feet tall.

Looked at mine this morning and the flowers are all gone too.
    Same leaf, so yeah, Hawthorn.

The neighbor's property when it was sold, the new owners did not mow the ditch in front of the woods now the whole thing is full of them thorny bushes.
The house and property is up for sale again now.
I went down the whole length and cut a bunch of it back because it was hanging out in the road.
Got some holes poked in me messing with that crap too
