Ture, same for cats. Our prize Himalayan cats had 3 kittens which I had every intention of selling, We kept them in an enclosure that was in front of my recliner. I didn't want the mother running off with them, or the dogs getting too curious. The kitten had us in their view most all the time. As they grew and started to craw etc, we became more attached to them. When they were ready at 10 weeks, we got cold feet and couldn't part with them. So, we kept them, but had them all neutered. Anyway, those kittens are like puppies. They follow us everywhere. They stay with us wherever we are in the house. I don't let them outside. They sit at the door and wait for us to return. Lots of fun and attention. (

Were hoping the mom has 4 males, so we get one, or maybe someone backs out. I think we'll be in luck for 1.

Plus our town only allows 3 dogs per house. I'll make up excuses if I have to, although I'd love to get 2 brothers from the same litter. That and getting 2 would eat away at my new wood stove funds...

Although 2 pups will keep you warmer in winter.:D

Yep, my wife and I are committed to getting a pull from this litter. I talked with the breeder this morning, and we are on her list now.

So, everyone wish us luck that there are 4 males in the litter. It's due around June 20th.

So it's official, I sent my deposit in for our lab puppy.

Momma Tully goes in for a vet check on the 15th, and they will check how many pups she has in her. Here's a picture of momma from today. The breeder says she looks to be pretty full, which I equate to having a lot of puppies. FullSizeRender.jpg

Let's keep the good juju going!

She's due around June 20th. So, 2 weeks from today.

Maddie spent some quality time with me this weekend. She really enjoyed her "beach" time along the edge of the farm creek. :)

What a cool spot! I don't doubt Maddie loved it schlot !

We had a brook on the old farm too. This time of year it was really nice down there along the edges. Used to go down a lot with our huskies. Good years.

Thanks. It is really peaceful there. We planted about 4 acres of that area in trees a long time ago. Pretty mature now, but unfortanely about half of the hard wood we planted was ash.

Sunday mornings were the best time to be down there. No equipment usually running off in the distance anywhere... totally quiet, except the sound of the water coming down off the rocks...
