Sounds delicious! Short? Add anything to the tomato sauce?

We just watched the Italian Gran Prix (motoGP) on tv with my wife.

Friday bought a new kayak, ran it down Terrapin Creek with a buddy - good time
Saturday started working on installing lattice to keep Samson from hunting under the pool deck, interrupted by work for a 3k gallon oil leak - bad day, but things came around.
Worked on the pool a bit yesterday, watched the race drank, and cannonballed
Changed out pool filter sand and finished securing "under the deck" the little booger ran underneath when I was ready to screw the last two pieces in place:headbang: had to wait, got some fresh eggs and let the GF retrieve him, had I known he'd come to the truck starting I'dve tried that the dozen other times I wanted to go somewhere when he decided to climb under there -don't have to worry about it anymore now

Well. It has rained off and on for the last couple days. Good thing for everything. It was dry.

I did get a chance to get started on the rails of the fence. Trying to decide if I like them.

It is the camp property. The camp property is all on the same side of the road as the house and basically surrounds the property the house is on. So runs on both sides of the house, all along the road and behind the house as well. Sort of a big U around the house. Two separate pieces of property.

We can't decide if we like the rails or not. There would be another rail added half way down the post.

are you holding anything in with them?
a second rail would give aesthetics but will need changing just like the top rail someday

We won't be in the beginning. But I am building the fence so that if we decide to open this area up to the animals, the fence will be plenty, plenty strong enough to contain them. Their will be maintenance on the fence. But I am hoping the large cedar post and large hardwood White Ash rails will hold up for a decent amount of years.

My wife has always dreamed of owning her own horses. So I am putting together plans to make that happen for her. If anyone deserves it, she does. The plan is for a few horses in the future. We will start with two and see how that goes. The purchase of them will be a couple of years off. I have planning to do. A barn to build. It will be big enough to hold four horses and store hay, other feed, tractor, implements, etc. A large area to clear the less desirable trees out (behind the house), and trim the others way up high. I think will use trees in that area for the fence post, placing a pressure treated board between the trees and the fencing so it doesn't grow around the fencing. Just an idea I saw recently. Basically place a p.t. 1x6 vertical on the tree before you go around the tree with the fencing and use it as a post. No drilling holes, no post to buy, taking out less trees, etc.
