    I had a great time this weekend - thanks DexterDay and Mrs Dex! It was nice to be able to finally meet a few of you guys in person - especially Mr and Mrs Backwoods Savage! That was a pleasant surprise. :)

    Even the 5.5 hr drive was enjoyable - 90% of the entire route was lined with trees - there were some beautiful, huge groves of locust in full bloom, and some barren looking patches of dead ash.

    The only thing is, I was way more impressed with my own chainsaw collection *before* this weekend... :( There were some real screamers there! :dex:

    Eric and Jason brought 2 delicious Peanut butter pies and Jack brought a half dozen different pies.

    I am finishing up the apple pie from Jack and the PB pie from Eric/Jason.

    It's cold and wet in Ohio now. So I am stuffing my face and watching a movie.

    It was somewhere around 235-250 miles one way. We cheated and went part way Friday then finished Sat morning.

    Clem, it was 89 not far from Dexter's place. By the time we got home it was 52. Ha! Same temperature it is now. Our high for the day. 38 expected tonight.

    A big thank you to all the good folks we met at Dexter's Saturday. And from my wife, she also wants to thank those who spoke or even gave her a hug (she got lots). Both of us are sorry we don't remember names too good any more. Judy also got to talk quite a bit to a young man, Jared and she enjoyed it. Personally, I think she talked too much. Should have locked her in the car.

    My wife and I had a great time at Kenis place! It was nice to put faces to the names . I had so great conversations with several members pro carb , square file brad, and everyone else I met or we met .
    Dewey I hope to catch up again . anyone who missed out missed a great time with great people ! Some much info on chainsaws , tuning , chains and sharpening . I had a blast I'm super tired after my 6 hour drive home in the hard rains. But damm it was worth it ! Kenis you and your wife and anyone who help set this gtg up are stand up people I am glad to be friends with! Thanks a million next year we are camping at your place if its still a option?

    The comments after these gatherings always have the same theme... that everyone feels as tho they've known each other all their lives, and look forward to seeing them at the next one. FHC... rocks!

    We had a great time too. My son whined for 10 minutes about having to leave early, then fell asleep. Nice meeting everyone and sorry I didn't get to introduce myself to everyone before we had to leave.

    Looks like a great time guys. I had sort of forgot about this coming up and thought about possibly make a run at it but it wouldn't have worked out after all, mother in law had a stroke on Wed. and is now staying with us for awhile but I sure would have liked to meet a few more hoarders, had good time at Swags GTG that he had.
