It has this little crack in the carb box. This is the only damage to the tank that I have found though.
The AV mounts are all good and solid, and the tank lines up properly as it should. I have an 044 that is badly twisted here......that's why I mention it.
This saw had a scored jug that I cleaned up. It has a Meteor piston. No issues from that as you can see. Squish band is cut .035" and the compression is a healthy 195psi.
The muffler, and the cover are both opened up, and the screen is a larger mesh than stock. It outta breathe right well.
The saw has been down to the crankshaft for a complete inspection, and a proper cleaning. The parts were cleaned in our ultrasonic tank, and new OEM seals and gaskets were used for reassembly. I sold/traded this saw to one of our members, and he found a couple of things I overlooked on it. So, to make it right, I traded back with him. Hopefully he and I are in good standing still. Since I got it back, I went thru the carb, check and cleaned the tank vent, checked the condition on the piston (since it was a cleaned up jug), and we added new hose to the handlebar. It's a perfect running saw, needs nothing, and I will of course stand behind my work in any way that is needed.
I thought I told you as much in my last PM. Honestly; I didn't think the couple issues with the saw, which were minor, justified a trade back, but Randy basically insisted. As stated the jug isn't perfect but the saw runs strong and someone will be getting a nice ported saw at a heck of a price.
