Bar oil problem!!! Help!!!!!

    Never had this problem just cleaned my saw and changed plug put on a sharp chain and test ran it I have oil coming out around the top of the cover plate? Not sure why pulled it off checked the oil groove also checked the bar the hole is clear for the rail? What do I do next?

    Is the oil spraying out from under the brake band cover?

    Not sure what you call it but the cover you put on with the two nuts. Sorry my saw is a ms310

    Pull the cover and remove the bar and chain. Run the saw and make sure oil is only coming from the oiler hole.

    Not only the bar oil hole but the groove in the bar itself need to be clean for the oiling system to work right. If you are oiling well but have crap in that bar groove the oil has to go somewhere.

    Totally normal when you rev a saw out of the wood.

    What brad said. Its also worse on a clean saw. Theres no crud to soak the oil up.

    If you were tuning it, you will get a lot of excess oil going on there
