    Car Key Fob Trick Explained
Once you have seen this, you will be heading out to your car to see if it works. . . .
This is well done. A useful piece of knowledge, tempered with humor.
Might come in useful if you're being chased.......
So much for the old saying, "You have water on the brain."
That will be interesting to everyone especially we seniors, who forget where we parked our cars, if your car can be opened and locked with an electronic
key. Just because you are not a senior, still watch this video and learn something that may be useful to you.
The wave length of the electronic key is limited to a certain distance.
If you want to expand it, learn the trick by watching this video. You won't forget it.

I'm afraid I lost my car in an airport parking garage in my 30's. Did not have the FOB. Thank you for the cool tips, no doubt I will forget where I parked again in the future

Good use of the brain :)

    Now a question ?
If I locked my key in the PU,
can I call my wife, have her use the spare electronic lock transmitter into her cell phone to unlock the door via cell pone signal (50 miles away) ?

I think the small dose of electromagnetic radiation from your car keys is a drop in the bucket compared to any wireless or cordless telephone.

A couple years ago, my mom got locked out of her car because the battery in the key fob died. After an hour or so, calling around to the dealer, looking for another ride, and even trying to enter the car through the trunk, she finally got a hold of my dad. He asked if she had tried using the key to open the door - y'know, the old fashioned way. ;) Apparently that method still works.

I did that once back in about '95, except my wife ( not my wife at the time) had the spare key, and had already left for work. The engine was still running.:headbang:
Had to call work, have our daughter drive me down there, then back. I forget how much gas got wasted.:picard:
Not sure how many new cars can still be opened with a key.
Contrary to popular belief, (at least in my own mind) I'm not perfect.

Seems as if this principle works why cell companies aren't slapping transponders on water towers possibly it only works with certain frequencies?

So then, perhaps if one pees on the keys, it will extend the range a bit further? Or maybe just hold it near the bladder?

I don't care for them...mostly because of the people who use them to look self important. My brain likely takes more punishment from beer than any personal electronic device.
