Got the pool cover off in light drizzle this morning by myself.
No snakes....then the GF was cutting grass hollering at me to come see a fresh shed by the garden as I'm watching a large rattle snake sticking it's head out of the front patio void
A toad jumped into the void followed by Samson inspecting the area:headbang:
snake had no room to get the toad and went back under the patio, any leftover concrete will be filing that hole soon

How long does it take a husband to do that? We bought one last summer, it did not get done, after reading the instructions......

Started it at 2 pm on Sat, had a helper. Worked on it until 10 pm and then spent all day today on it with my wife helping as needed. It ain't so bad but read through the instructions a few times and know what's coming three or four steps ahead. It helps, a lot! I had to redo some of the early steps once I figured out what was going on. Power tools are a must. Good cordless drill, power screwdriver, and my heavy-duty cordless impact were all heavily utilized.

My Oldest son tried every new feature as it was built.

Nature - living in the woods I run into one on occasion, really no big deal, just don't want small pups that can't handle themselves approaching one

Woke up to standing water in the basement this morning. 3 sump pumps and it still found its way in. Thought I heard around 5 inches fell for the weekend. I'm not even going to try to dry carpeting, its getting pulled.

Really sorry to read that LE. I've dealt with my share of water issues in basements. No fun. Good luck with it all.

Starting to put on my summer weight. I usually gain a few pounds when I get outside more but not like this. Gained 8 lbs in the past month. This the most I have ever weighed. I told my wife it's just me getting my "old man strength" (pronounced strenth).

Went to have my eyes checked. Trying out a set of multifocal contact lenses...basically bifocals.

Hopefully they will work so I can pitch my reading glasses.

Load of logs moved. Forgot pics.:picard:

Also loaded a BIG pile of brush onto his trailer and dragged it back to a clearing and pushed it off with the tractor. Now I can have me a little Bon fire! When the burn ban goes off, of course. And it is raining. Getting dry here. I hope we get some rain.
