I moved 3 New York face cord starting at 7 this morning, the majority of the wood was from a load of logs I bought in February 2010, some very nice Beech,Ash,Sugar Maple,Cherry and some Soft Maple. I didn't take any pictures (batteries were dead) so I'll get a pic tomorrow of the stacking and the empty area. I was done around 12:15 just in time for lunch, after that I took a load of bark back to put on the trail. If the weather is good on Sunday, I'll be hauling out the Sugar Maple and that Beech.
Here's what I finished doing today. 2-1/2 cord stacked / covered . All dead standing Red Oak 22% or less on the m/m
Seeing stacks getting done is very motivating. Typically this time of year, I'd not even think about making firewood. Yesterday I brought more wood in from the woods, split and hauled primo zero degree weather wood, and today I'll stack it. Oh yeah, the load of morels I found were a bonus! We'll have crab morel risotto tonight. Yummmmmmm! Thanks FHC!!!!
This is the good hardwood I moved yesterday, it's been stacked since 2010. Most of this is Beech with some Ash,Sugar Maple and some Red Maple.
