Driving to the Western slope of Colorado! In order to save time of driving by cutting down on the number of stops, I wonder if something like this is possible??
I heard that lassoing aircraft in flight as a sport fell out of favor pretty quickly. They had trouble with the rope winding up around the propeller or somesuch...
The vacation was way too short! The first day, we drove 1100 miles in 16 hours. 99 lbs did fantastic and said it was probably the easiest day of travel. I learned that Minneapolis still sucks...more than ever! Hate that town and will do my best to avoid it at all costs if we ever have to travel that way again!...but then, I always say that. I think I prefer the western slope of the Rockies in Co. to the eastern slope now.
I'd take Minneapolis 100 times over Chicago. Too bad Chicago is nearly always in my way to my out of state road trips.
Catch much in the way of slow traffic? I just got back from Neb. and didn't run into any problems, even going up the hill.
We had just a bit of slow traffic through the construction zones you spoke of earlier this year on I 70 through the Mts. I'm beating a dead horse here when I say that Minneapolis was by far and large the worst! I made the mistake of Chicago once about in 08 and that was enough for me also.

OMG, I was on a hotel bus from Chicago Ohare in 08. Blizzard.... 2 planes slid off the runways (1 each airport) and I spent almost 4 hours in what was normally a 1 hour drive in that van. No Thankyou!!!!!
Finally got my laptop back from my computer guy. It took a fritz before we left on vacation. He cleaned it up and all is working well once again...and then said never again! Now I've got some catching up to do.
