Kids were busy with school activities so it was me and Emma this weekend working outside. Great weather and felt good to be out getting a few things done. Not a ton of wood, but it all adds up... Thought I would share a few pictures, of what we got accomplished. fixing a special Mother's Day dinner for mom tonight too. Finally finished this stack of Aspen next to the fire-pit... Finished this stack too. Red oak, white oak, red elm and maple, all dead standing small diameter trees. Had a Few dozen pieces left from last year (the dark ones) that are mixed in this stack too. Started using landscape timbers on top of my saplings to get a little height and maybe a little more stability to help prevent any stacks from tipping over. Time will tell. Finished building and putting up all my birdhouses.... I think 7 now. Who's that crazy old guy with all those birdhouses...? Sprayed all the grass and weeds in the driveway with Roundup and it ain't a short driveway. Washed the riding mower, Gator and even my splitter too. Mowed and weed wacked. Emma had a good weekend being outside all day... Kept me company too... Ready to crack a beer.
Would have been much easier to list what you DIDN'T do. Of course, the pics would have been fairly boring.
Oh, and you're workin' too hard. Now I feel like I should get up and do sumthin'. I'm sure that'll pass if I sit here long enough.

This is all I got done as far as firewood. Cut up a little beetle kill pine for the outdoor fire pit, and it was a good excuse to get out the 2159 and make some noise.
Heard it was hot in your area. Weather looks great ! Nice stack Fire pit gonna be "active'' tonight ?
Just a short lived burst of energy I'm afraid..... We kind of skipped spring here and went from winter to summer. It was 89 degrees both Friday and Saturday.... Just trying to ketchup. Here's Emma tonight...

Glad you had a productive day! It was a hot sunny weekend here in Southeast Ohio We had 90's Friday thru today...No complaints here
