Harman p 43 in the house

Pulled the trigger on this a few weeks back , got a great deal including a 1/2 ton of Energex Free
replacing the wood burner ,no more cutting and splitting for me ,just stacking bags

Don't need an extension hopper (gives the wife an excuse not to fill it, since it'll be too high for her)....trims just "fluff", surge protector IS a good idea (thanks Don), preburn? nah, its warm out....open the windows! How much did you snag it for? I am curious, as the new Absolute43 should be under $3600 (in black cast iron).......will be interesting to see what the end-users think of the controls!

The Harman P-series I think one of the best units out there....simple look, easy to service, lots of parts around if you need them! Ive a 16 year old P61

 

I voiced my requests to the Harman team for WiFi and/or 2 terminals on the back for an external T-Stat like the Quads. The new Absolute product manager stated the wireless protocol used for the new wireless room probe could possibly be used for a local remote control.

 

I agree no fluff stuff for me ,it will have a surge protector ,just like the one up stairs , burn will be done right here thing weighs over 200 lbs. I'm not hauling it back up stairs .

Got the stove for $2919 tax included they took $250 off the top plus $ 100 Harman coupon, tossed in the 1/2 ton of pellets free, delivered and hauled the 400 lb cast iron wood burner out and put it on a pallet in the garage so I think I got a pretty good deal

 

Also due to Harman's good reliability they are way cheaper in the long run.

ever notice that AFTER you buy something, folks come outta the woodwork with better "deals"?! it all depends on what stuff goes for in your locale....around here, P43's go for about $2700, and that's with a ton of pellets included. Given they hauled your old unit out, and your price included delivery, an ok deal, 'cept the dealer should have mentioned the $200 deal-io. All in all, I think ya got an ok deal tho....Im sure you'll love it.....curious to see if you prefer it over the Accentra.

 

My basement P61 Harmy I got cheap is only 14 years old but with an Ignition upgrade kit, a newer ash pan with recessed ash door, a new nickel trim kit, a new fire door, a hopper extension, and a good Satin Black paint job it is disguised as a new model! Also painted the gold color grill very high temp Flat Aluminum! LOL However it still has the cast iron fines cover and the inside is still Golden Fire Brown color!
Also saved $100 because the scenic tile came with the stove!

 

It was a b itch to get out they couldn't use the "lift ", it couldn't make the turn at top or bottom of my stairs had to do it with a hand truck and brute force they were here for 2 hrs. Bottom line I'm very Happy

 

They did not have an Escalara Stair Cat?
I could not have installed 2 475 lb P52i stoves without it!

 

They had something like that with bigger wheels ,it wouldn't fit very tight at top of my stairs

 

The Escalara is $3,000.00 and the big wheel kit is another $150.00 which costs more than your new stove!

 

What's your point ???
