Somehow I skipped owning this popular round, jumping first to .40S&W, then .45 ACP, then a .44mag.

Now I'm on a downward trend, getting a couple .38sp/.357 wheel guns and now my first 9mm. Wow, it's cheaper to shoot 9mm than the rest!!!!

Anyway, I traded for a CZ75B last night. It only had about 500 rounds through it and was in perfect condition. I need to drift the rear sight a tad, but I was mostly ringing steel with it last night which it was plenty accurate for. Hopefully this is mild enough for my wife. My main reason to get it was because she won't shoot any of my other centerfire auto-loaders.

You do know that wood that your paper target is on isn't steel, right?

It's an old target that I just never took down. I just shot it enough last night to see where my point of impact was.

Nice pistol, you should enjoy the heck out of it, as will the wife.
She should have no problems with the recoil.
Start stocking up, 9mm is fairly inexpensive in bulk- I like www.freedommunitions.com- for my bulk stuff. (I think that's correct..)

Good job, nothing wrong with a 9mm.
What did you give for it?

The-armory.com has lots of metal cased ammo for $250/1k or so.

Nice looking gun. I'm thinking about getting one about that size. I have a ruger P-89 that I bought new. It's nice having a 15 round mag, but it's heavy and somewhat awkward to shoot. Is it heavy? How many rounds does the mag hold?

Surprised you waited this long to have a 9mm, the most popular semi- auto ammo right now.
At first glance your new shooter looks beretta (ish).

9mm is a fun caliber to shoot. No sharp recoil and easy to handle.
My 14 yr old is now shooting it often and wants to shoot Scholastic Steel Challenge this fall :rootintootin:

I traded a T/C Contender that had some nicks and scratches

Magazine capacity is 16. It's not a light gun by any means, it's probably just a few ounces lighter than a 1911. But that makes it a pretty easy gun to shoot, and the ergonomics are excellent.

Yeah, back when I was young and dumb I used to laugh at the 9mm as a puny round, and settled on the .40 instead. But now my carry guns are a .38sp and .380ACP and I realized that knockdown power isn't everything. And it makes more sense to put holes in paper with something cheap so I sold the .40 and have been waiting for the right 9mm to show up.

It does look similar to the Beretta 92, and originally that was the gun I wanted as I've shot them and really liked it. But the CZ feels better in my hand.

The P-01 is the compact, right?

I think the SP-01 comes with an 18 round mag, but the magazine extends past the grip some.

Yes it is considered a compact but I think they make a smaller version dont they?
Edit-Looks like they discontinued the smaller one, the Rami.
