Well anybody feel free to nominate me for brother in law of the year! My sister in law and her family moved back to town and are having a house warming party Saturday. Her husband isnt the handiest guy ever so I decided it would be faster and easier if I just did the thinning and clearing behind his house.

So took the 562xp and a husqvarna 223r brush cutter over there. First off I had a stihl saw blade on the husky brush cutter :eek::bug:(oh nooooo). Man for the entry level model it sure does some quick work of anything under 3". Didnt take a before pic sorry but this space was filled with vines and small saplings and some saplings 15ft or so.

There is a very large beech tree on a slope and has seen better days. The trunk looks very rotted and Im surprised more hasnt fallen off. But anyways I decided to buck a large limb and split it up for them to use in their fire pit.

So needless to say after moving the furniture in, hanging flat screens up, assembling furniture and then doing yard work I don't think they will be getting a house warming gift from me!!  Hope everyone is doing well and man where the heck did spring go? Went straight from winter to summer here!

Yeah, it was hot over the last weekend. I had to haul wood on Saturday, and I wore shorts, and a t shirt, Rocky boots, and leather gloves. Sweated my butt off. It was 76° and felt really humid.

It's much nicer to do work like that when it's 40° out.

Plus, it's really ticky in the woods here- felt one crawlin' up under my tee shirt under my left ta ta- I says to it as I plucked it mid run, "you ain't gettin to second base with me!"

I stick with pants regardless of the weather just to try and keep the scratches, ticks, and ivy off me. Surprisingly didnt have one tick on me for the two afternoons I was over there hopefully the cold winter had something to do with that.

The ticks are thick in my part of WV already this year. Good luck with that.
