    Alright I thought I would share my wood gathering so far this year.I am thinning out a friends woods.He is glad to have me drop and haul away all the trees.So it's a win win for both of us.
    So the family and I cut and hauled 2 loads Saturday and 2 Sunday.
    I figure by the time it's all split and stacked I have around 4 to 5 cords.I hope so anyways.
    We just got rain today and more called for over the next week.So looks like I'm out of the woods for now since it will be too muddy.
    Need to drag the skidloader home and start c,s,s I guess now.

    Looks like a 'work in progress'. Nice story on how you acquired the logs, a win win for both of you.
    And now the processing begins.

    Well I'm not much good with wood ID.I know some in my first load was pine.Then some ash and a walnut.I do believe one was Oak. I think anyways.I know he has a bunch of thorn trees which I think are "locust"?.Not looking forward to dealing with those but I have been told that's nice hot burning wood.
    That's a 16' 14k gvw trailer which is rated to dump 10k lbs.
    I put almost 7 ton of stone in it once and she dumped it ,but I try not to go over 5.I was pushing my luck that day!

    Nice to see another mopar guy.
    I've got a whole stable of old Mopars.That's my 72 and my son and daughter will crucify me if I sold that one.lol!Building a 360 to swap in it right now.The original 318 has 200k+ on it and still runs good but it's time for a little more pep.

    Ive thought of splitting it a few times.lol!
    It's a hard to find old Glastron that needs to get fixed up or disappear. I burned an old fiberglass boat years ago and man that was a hot fire!

    If it's thorny it's probably locust. Nice hot burning locust....:drool:

    The thorny stuff is usually honey locust. If you can avoid the thorn injuries it has plenty of BTU content.

    I've been holding on to a 1972; 360 police intercepter motor and the 727 trans. I bought the car 20 years ago and the body was an old police Fury II. The body was rotting out around the engine so I yanked the motor and trans and scrapped the body.

    Sorry, didn't mean to de-rail thread:emb::Yar::whistle:
