You're got some fun stuff in the mail lately .

That'd be a great addition to our moose camp, for starting a fire quick.
I'll be looking for one now.

I got this off the rack at menards , I go through a couple of these lighters each season then have to throw them away, I don't like throw away stuff, maybe this refillable one will last 2 or 3 years or more never know.
So far it works great it has a hot flame it's like a mini torch, it lit up the fire starter real quick

Will do. If it breaks I will let you know otherwise its working fine, time will tell
I fixed it :) the child proof button on the top has a stiff spring is a pain in the azz, put some Gorilla Tape on it to hold it forward now just squeeze the deal on the bottom, lights up real nice and easy now

Mine isn't child proof, nor does it require you to hold anything down to stay lit. I haven't tried opening bottles with it though, I think you have me there

I see quite a few people that use those all the time, I used my Pizzo torch a few times with kindling when I didn't have any fire starters it gets a fire going real quick like

I actually was using those new "torch" style BBQ lighters for a while. I found they run out of gas quickly, and don't always do a great job lighting wood or a super cedar because of the "torch" being to strong... I found an older style regular "flame" type in a local store (instead of a torch, it's just a small flame). I filled it up at the beginning of the season, and just had to refill it for the first time last week when I had to light a fire one day. It ran all winter long, and it lights super cedars better I think than the small torch style ones.

And those child safety things drive me NUTS!!!!!!!!

This thing here has a small hot blue flame and lights my Rutland squares up faster than any of the other regular lighter flame deals I have used.
So far since I taped down that button I really like it

Do you have to buy special refill canisters to refill it?

any butane refill will do it, just let a fire up a minute ago, I really like it because the flame is so hot, hot blue flame :fire:man, it just lights it up right quick, nothing like the regular lighter type deals

No kindling needed for that turbo powered fire starter.
