A little ID help here please-thank you in advance

Elm has two common types around my area, Red and White, Red is easier to split while White is a cussing tree unless you have a wedge with patience or a splitter. Red Elm has a red heartwood when cut with a chainsaw while white elm is 'white' all the way through. Elm is a good firewood if you have the patience to split it, stinks when it burns though. On top of this you can find standing dead barkless elm with a really low MC.
