Borrowed from my brother in law. I used it 3 years ago, hasn't been used since I returned it to him. He purchased it about 12 years ago I think I ve used it more than he has. Had to clean the carb but still runs and looks like new. Tried to buy it from him but it is like everything else he doesn't use "not for sale" Oh well at least he lets me borrow it. Iwas going to rent one but have to much to split for a weekend rental. Going to try and match motor & pump to install on my old Huske.

What the specs on the old " Huskee " ?
Ram size is a big big factor in tonnage force.
    Pump size (gpm) for speed,
Engine hp has to match the bypass pressure & the 2nd stage pressure settings so it don't die if it gets jammed
A 16 ton should split almost anything but the knotty gnarly twisted ones.
(The round in the pic, easy pezy for any splitter & will make many nice end cross stack splits )

    But yea
for a few hundred $$, pump & engine, valve too maybe.
    Be fun & you'd have a "1 of a kind" performance Huskee :)

Picture of the old huskee, ? ?

Start a "splitter upgrade thread" :)
Many guys here would love to help/watch/learn how to make the old huskee into a top performer
    Fun stuff !
