Looks like another spring day, Sunny and around 70 degrees.
I've been looking for a replacement for my basement dweller and stumbled onto a QuadraFire Santa Fe, Cleaned it up and Fired it up yesterday it's actually in better shape than the one in my Parlor ! I guess I have a stash of parts now for less than the cost of one motor.

I'll suffer another week feeling crappy just to get a day on the water with my son! I think we might even need the sun screen tomorrow!! :D

I put down two yards of cedar mulch around the flower beds this morning. Fired up the mower and cut the grass for the first time this year.

And while I was cutting the grass, there was a magnitude 4.2 earthquake about 50 miles south of me. My mom had called and asked if I felt it. Apparently it was strong enough to rattle plates in her china cabinet. I had no clue as it feels like a magnitude 8 for an hour when I'm cutting my bumpy lawn. Need to break out the lawn roller next time we get a good rain.

Went shopping for a new kitchen today. Found just what she wanted. All wood, no MDF or particle board. This one is antique white with an almond glaze. All drawers in the lower cabinets except under the sink and lazy susan in the corner.
We want all light colored things like cabinets, floors, ceiling, walls and trim. We haven't shopped for the counter top. The price is very high for granite.

Relaxing outside with a fire and some beer. I'm about to be chased back inside by the farmer behind me who is spraying the apple orchard.

too bad that spraying can't be done when there is no wind for drift. Some farms are organic, others not. Drift is an issue.

Did a full clean and touch up on the West Point. She will be idle until fall. Also changed the oil on the Jeep and lawn mower.

Exactly for the reason that savemoney brought up. Low wind. He's actually very good about keeping drift to a minimum towards the houses. Most of the farmers around here spray at night as it's usually rather windy where I am.
