This is the last of the wood that's on my porch. My last fire was a week ago. Looking at the extended forecast, I think I'm good for the year.

That's cutting things way too close in my mind.

I have 4-5 more years worth in the stacks, not too far from the porch.

Just got lucky. If I don't burn it in the next few weeks, it'll go in the smoker.

Dang best forum I belong to.....I mean, a guy can post up a pic of 7 splits of red oak and peeps just jump on board with all kinds of encouragement, trying to talk him through it all ya know, haha.

Y'all are just too funny, just a great group of folks. I got back on and had 7 alerts and wondered what the heck happened!

I sure hope the disrespectful nastiness so prevalent in our nation today never comes to FHC.

Fox99, that stuff looks exactly like the red oak I've been burning, where'd ya say you got it again?

Looks a lot like the load I put in the stove last night.
Then I set it on fire.

Split those one more time and you've got two more fires! Cheers!

I re-split 75% of what was on the porch a few weeks ago. I do that every spring when I'm down to 2-3 fires a week. But a few of those didn't get re-split yet, good idea.

Have about the same amount in my stack in the garage. Here it is the last day of April with my stove burning hoping to finish it off.

It's 56 here at 12:30 at night. Looks like the porch stack will get REstacked with the rest of the back yard scrappies.
