    And they go anywhere they damm well please... like stepping out in front of cars going 60-70 mph. But they taste good so...

    These moose are huge, largest thing you will see around here in the woods. We know just to stay away from them. Esp during rutting season, or if there are young ones around with a mother. Truth is most of the time, you come across them on the edge of the road. When hit by a car, more often than not, the car is destroyed. I've seen car tops torn off just like the lid to a sardine can.

    Yep, moose are something to avoid in Maine eh Larry? ... hit a deer, kills the car... hit a moose, kills anyone in the front seats... more often than not. Also, deer are much easier to see on a dark rainy night. Moose are invisible. Hard to believe as big as they are, but they're jet black and their eyes don't light up in the headlights like deer.
