Nice saw. I picked one up at the dealer last week (held...not buy) and it was a lot lighter than I expected. When are you sending it to the monkey to vet bananas and playdough installed?
DexterDay... wish I could have made it up to the GTG from the looks of the pics on the other site that fun was had by all. I felt for y'all with all the rain we got! Sweet looking saw btw!
The GTG was a great time! It was good to finally meet Dex, Maulhead, & others from various sites who attended. Will we be able to remember everyone, nope, but we will a few & each year a few more. If you haven't been able to make it to an charity cut or GTG, please do. Lots of great folks with simular interests, great times! The Oakfest sign was done a few years back by Chad/Lumberjackchef (AS). He has been faithfully attending area GTGs holding carving exibitions. Up coming events in the Midwest as I know. Please feel free to correct me as needed. Didnt even catch that till you pointed it out. Nice 661. That is one saw I want to run while still stock. Is stock right?
Now that Wiggs GTG is a different weekend, I am likely attending that one as well. Friday and Sat morning were bad. But by about 11 am, the rain stopped and we all had a great time!! 100% stock. Will be that way for some time. A muff mod will be done down the road. But that will be with an extra front cover to do testing.
WHOA! Dex, nice saw!!! My biggest is the 441 and for my needs and cutting, she is plenty. I can only imagine that animal in action...
Lookin good! I've been waiting for you to show us some pics of a new 661. I knew it was coming, just didn't know when.
Even though the 661 isn't nearly as choked as the 660 was from the factory, you will be very happy opening up your muffler. I cut with mine stock and opened it up, what a difference. I hope to meet you at Jeremys Dex.
With the date change.. It is very likely SquareFile AND myself Will Be there. So I look forward to meeting you as well!
Hedgerow did a thread on. http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/threads/refurbishing-old-plastic.809/#post-15333
That elbow won't look bad on your saw Dex!! And do you drive the car down that road Probably drove right there while all the suvs were slideing! Ha
Dex, In over 25 years of pheasant hunting in Iowa, I am pretty familiar with the roads. It looks like you were on a level "B" minimum maintenance road. It plainly states, "Enter at your own risk". Am I correct??????? Nice 661 BTW!
I am not sure of the Level, but I do know that several of the roads we traveled there were soft. Very soft.. We (Jrsdws and myself) came Friday evening around 5pm. So it wasn't to bad. But after 14 hrs of more rain, by 7am when others started to arrive, it was terrible.
