Got tired of carrying the rounds out of the brush to the trailer so I set up this logging winch on the Bx. What a joy to just hook up the tree and pull it out in the open to work on.

Is that setup custom or something that's an actual attachment?

It is a set up from Tractor Supply a 4500 # winch and a 2" hitch mount for truck use that works just great on the 3pt hitch. The hitch mount needed a little work to fit the 4500# winch but it was easy enough.

Very nice. That was a great job thinking of that idea in order to make things easier on you.

I want to get a winch on my RTV to get tops out to the trail. Sometimes just 20 feet can make all the difference.

There's two ash trees that blew over from the wind right across the street from my house, they're down in a gully a few feet, I could sure use that right now. I was actually thinking of tying a rope around the trees and dragging them out with my truck.

I got the 4500# winch as it is their atv/utv unit made to work with the smaller electrical systems . The mount is made for the large 9000# truck unit but with a few new mounting holes it fit just fine. I used it today to drag four 8"-16" trees to the trail for bucking and the worked great.

Dave it comes with a hardwired remote but I can get a wireless. I did not want to spend the extra $ for it till I was sure this was going to do what I wanted.

I got to tell you it has worked far better than I had hoped. In the past I would drag some trees out to the trail with the tractor but with its light weight it would loose traction some times. With the winch I set the brakes and it pulled a 16" Red Oak with top still on 70' out to the trail with ease.

Guess its time to go pick up that remote.

Cool setup! If you can weld or know someone that can, you could consider making sort of a blade that would dig into the ground when the 3pt is lowered to stop the tractor from getting pulled during harder winches.

This is why I love this site you just gave me a great idea. I have an old 5' back blade I could cut down to say three and mount the winch on top.

Bx2360 I bought back in 2010 to do all the landscaping at our new house and land. Now it's used to keep the driveway clear and cutting wood. It has paid for its self many times over. They had a $0 down $0 finance for 60 months so it was a no brainer. And as of next month it's paid for.
