Just dawned on me as it begins raining here, and is expected to rain on and off for the next week or more. For the only time I can ever remember every piece of firewood I have is either under roof or tarp. Have to start rebuilding the pile when the weather clears. Thankful for the help and great weather yesterday.
Late night shot- nice! Been raining ALL day here in SWVA, haven't been able to load yesterday's cherry from the Chevy. Guess I'll be toting it to work in the anti meridian... Maybe get it off loaded tomorrow!
Rained on and off most of the weekend here. I think we got a total of around 1.5" total. None of my wood is under cover, but get good wind so not too worried about it.
i normally dot care either, water on the surface wont hurt seasoning process of year or two. Just was a weird moment when I drive up and couldn't see any wood. Will need to get started on a pile for 2016-17 winter once it dries out.
That is great Greg. The only wood not covered here is what was cut over the winter months. That won't get covered until late fall or early winter.
